ISLAND MAJESTY

By MARK JABUSCH THEME: NATURE’S CHORUS Amid the vast blue seaStands a majestic island, proud and free,No foe could ever dareChallenge the resplendence we see there. It’s within reach, a utopia…

PEACE ON EARTH?

By NEIL BRAMBLE THEME: CHRISTMAS DAY 2023 All of us would love to see peace on earth, and at Christmastime we often hear the refrain, “Peace on earth, goodwill to men.” We all long for it, but realistically, we see little hope for it. We want to witness the end of wars, violence, hatred, racism,…

PERSONAL GLIMPSES OF SURREY THEME

PERSONAL GLIMPSES of SURREY is the theme we’ve chosen to launch our new blog for Surrey Christian Writers. The purpose is to celebrate the city of Surrey – past, present and future. Some of our members grew up in Surrey or raised our families here. A number of us still live here while others have settled in nearby communities. For many of us, our church home is here in Surrey. With thanksgiving, we reflect on God’s faithfulness and goodness written on our experiences here. All of us have meaningful memories and treasured connections with this growing community. We look forward to sharing our personal glimpses of this city that is close to our hearts.
