CRESCENT BEACH AT SUNSET – photo by Myra Ottewell, Lyrics and Music by Anita McBride
Summertime is almost here,
all the boys and girls in their baseball gear.
In the parks of Surrey
the cottonwood is floating down,
scatters on the grass and ground.
Cottonwood is floating down.

Summer sun we gladly greet,
my children running with bare feet.
Crescent Beach in Surrey,
waves are spreading on the sand.
Couples walking hand in hand,
waves are spreading on the sand.

Though the summer's with us still,
morning air now brings a chill.
Bear Creek Park of Surrey,
leaves are turning yellow brown.
They shiver on the trees till they fall down.
Leaves are turning yellow brown.

Summer's done. The rain is here.
Tynehead Park, the stream runs clear.
Seasons come and seasons end.
Water rushes 'round the bend

Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall -
Their beauty is displayed for all.
In the parks of Surrey
I watch the seasons come and go.
Just for a moment life is slow.
I watch the seasons come and go.

Snow is blowing ...
Raindrops falling ...
Cottonwood is floating down.
